Can’t Stop the Girl is an apt title for this first release from Lisa Wenger as a solo artist. For more than fourteen years Lisa’s been refining her singing skills everywhere from small stages like Shaw’s Bar and Grill to the expansive stages of The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This album is the culmination of Lisa’s hard work, determination and talent. Backed by The Lisa Wenger Band and joined by special guests, Lisa showcases her style while paying homage to some of the inspiring artists and people in her life who have made her the singer she is.

Though she is primarily a blues singer, Lisa has really been on a perpetual journey to find her own unique style--one that can encapsulate her emotion, intent, and passion. As a result this isn’t a purist blues recording; it is an amalgam influenced by soul, rockabilly, a little country, and more. Lisa’s rendition of “I Need a Man” is a perfect example of this blend of styles. A bona fide Rockabilly rave up originally done by Barbara Pittman, Lisa has delivered this gem on stage for years and does Barbara proud here.
