  Lisa Wenger Bio
Lisa Wenger traveled from the frigid, windy climes of Bismarck, North Dakota to Minneapolis in 1998, where her career began to take flight. A performer since childhood, Lisa spent her formative years singing in church and school, where her natural talent was first noticed, and singled out for being somewhat outside of the Methodist tradition. Like the mouse who traveled from the country to visit his city cousin, Lisa was soon exposed to many new, exciting, and dangerous situations. However, unlike the country mouse, Lisa never returned home. Captivated by the allure of smoke-filled clubs, loud guitars, and after-hour debauchery, Lisa was soon singing with the likes of Lamont Cranston, Kurt Jorgenson, Raggs, The Senders, Memphis and the Meantimes, and The Mojo Band, which she fronted. However, after a few years of artistic growth, countless gigs in the upper-Midwest, Lisa grew tired of the nocturnal recreation, and parted ways with The Mojo crew and assembled a cast of professional back-up musicians to support her would-be solo effort in late-2002. Lisa has been inspired in the last year to write new material, revamp and revitalize her image as bandleader/vocalist, with a cast of professionals, all of whom are tenured in the professional blues circuit. Lisa remarks: "Now, finally, when I'm on stage I feel like I have the world by the balls. And I'm not giving them back."
